I know some people might just say "don't use rpgmaker", but as we all know there have been some well received games made with it. I wanted some opinions on if Time Fantasy is received just as badly or if it doesn't get as negative a response since it isn't as commonly used.įor example, if someone saw this screenshot, I'm wondering how easily one would identify it as an rpgmaker game. I was preparing to start another game also using Time Fantasy, since I want to keep my games away from looking like the default RTP. That being said, my most recent project used the Time Fantasy style and a custom action battle system using events.
Due to this, I am well aware of the bad stigma any recognizable rpgmaker game gets due to the amount of low effort games made with the base assets. So I've experimented with rpgmaker for a few years now.
